I want to talk about some the pillars that is the very fabric of the free world: #democracy #science #philosophy. 1/
Democracy is not perfect but the the best we have got to facilitate civil #debate, mutual understanding and free elections. Democracy was invented by the Greeks and has evolved over time. Sadly it is estimated that only 8% of the worlds population live in a democracy

#Science brings #knowledge to the #policy makers and the people. It creates a basis for informed discussions about solutions to problems. The knowledge must available to all. Both scientists and policy makers should strive to not weaponize science as it creates a toxic environment for debate and general distrust. 3/
#philosophy is the basis of both #democracy and #science. Philosophy is the fundamental thinking about people, relations and things etc. Political processes and scientific methods are rooted in philosophy.

Call me old fashioned but this stuff has made the free world the free world. They most coexist and evolve together symbiotically.
Just a lay mans (computer programmer) 5 cents about things I value. I grew up in a peaceful country in a peaceful era. I truly believe I can thank the founding men at Eidsvoll in 1814 for this, and the men that fought for our freedom during the WWs.
Some parts f the free world seems sadly to have missed these concepts.
