So I'm torn.
On one hand, #Firefox codebase will still probably be easy to deal with and the license will probably not exclude distribution anytime soon, meaning others could continue to use Firefox as a base while removing all the tracking and user-hostile features.
On the other hand, between #Waterfox and #LibreWolf, I think one should sort of fork and work off the other, or they should come to some kind of deal and create the new Firefox.
This way there is at least one solid base.
You start to wonder what #browser #linux distributions like #Fedora, #Ubuntu, #Debian, #SuSE, etc will be using in the future.
Will they go for either #librewolf or #waterfox as a replacement for #Firefox, or will they go with some webkit browser provided with the desktop - something like "Web" (#gnome devs, damn you for that naming) or #Falkon / #Ladybird for #plasma
Or... will they allow Firefox to continue on it's path, exposing their users to the possibility of transgressions.
