Getting from "I have an idea!" to "I finished my book!" takes a lot more work than some people think. And a lot more time.
Give yourself space and time to work. Then hire me if you need help.

Trying so hard to get this vignette done! It's not there yet, but... damn good progress tonight! Spent 2:15 writing, and produced 1301 words.
(Also got a couple of loads of laundry done, which really needed to happen. Also fed myself.)

Am I a member of other writing organizations?
I'm a member of SFWA (decoder ring and all), and I've on and off been a volunteer.
I was a member of Broad Universe (I think my membership lapsed) and I intend to re-up. BU has some crossover with SFWA, but they also have convention sales tables, and do group readings, which I enjoy participating in.
Did you realise that the character name you made up has another meaning in a foreign language?
Which do you prefer, to read the text in an article or watch a video of the same content?

Here is another installment of my regular author temperature gauge survey on the use of AI for the author business.
If there were 5 choices, the first would be "Use for nothing at all". If that is your answer, please reply to the survey with that.

Good day!
*I finally managed a picture of a black-billed magpie (corvid). There are a lot of them locally, but they’re more skittish than crows.
Groceries & a walk this morning, then I’ll dive into another chapter. This novel edit is winding down, my next project on the horizon.
Be everwell.
It all matters. The words you write. The words you delete. The words you think. The words you say.
It all matters because it all becomes part of you and how you write. Time spent doing what you love is never wasted time.
Your world's economic system is horribly broken. How is that made apparent?
STORIES FROM THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS BEFORE 1858:

I saw the Garden of Eden marked on old maps, and wondered. Then, to my amazement, James Douglas talked about the Garden of Eden! https://nancymargueriteanderson.com/garden-of-eden/
I love this idea! Rebecca Romney, who wrote Jane Austen’s Bookshelf, has curated an exhibition showcasing the women authors Austen read and loved during her lifetime. Of course, this means I need to track down these authors for myself!

I thought this was what blogs were for.
Pinterest is now training AI on all images in their library unless you specifically opt out. I've had my book covers in Pinterest since it began. I didn't realize I had to opt out; all of my work is now being used to train AI without my permission. https://futurism.com/pinterest-data-photos-train-ai #amwriting #bookstodon

Back to making some word count tonight! After over a week of dealing with background stuff, tonight was 2:50 spent writing and 1148 words.
This is what I was trying to do last night, except my brain just got completely befoozled by too goddamn many sirens outside. (I think there was an event at the Barclay's Center. And me getting shitty sleep the night before last didn't help me any.)
I have a couple of openings for new clients in April and May. If you'd like to work with me to get your manuscript ready for publication, drop me an email!

I've said this before, but it does bear repeating: As 2025 marches on, loads and loads of articles on Austen and her 250th will be published. But each story I've read so far has its own hook, so it is worth publishing.
