Can we get a mouse with magsafe? Many of us use our laptops on small tables that we have to move back and forth constantly, meaning that Bluetooth mice constantly end up flying and crashing on the floor. A magsafe ring on the bottom, paired with a magsafe ring on the table, would allow us to snap it securely to the table when not in use. It could even be used for charging the mouse as well. Thank you.

Apple to Linux Journal - Scribus is actually amazing
In a recent post I shared a few things that turned out to be incorrect or just lacking in information. Honestly, I should have known I'd not taken enough time and should have used the app another day or two before posting.
First, I incorrectly stated that there was no way to neatly organize the free floating palettes by docking them to the side of the document as I'd come to expect based...

A look at some computer history: polaroids from the Lisa computer's development. Always good to take a look at earlier steps in the evolution of today's tools.

@buttplugio When Apple had the iMac in all those rainbow colors there was an "iBrator" spoof that sadly I cannot find anymore on the modern web. It was advertising USB-controlled vibrators in 5 tasty colors that could be daisy chained. I guess this was 1999? Anyone still have a reference to that? #apple #ibrator #usb #1999
In Apple News
My apple has a red half and a green half. The parts are neatly divided and my, naturally subjective, feeling is that they have slightly different texture and taste.
Is this an example of a chimera or something?
Ich warte ungeduldig auf den Paketzusteller, heute kommt eine neue Tastatur hier an.
Nichts weltbewegendes, nur eine Tastatur von Apple.
Es ist trotzdem wie Weihnachten
I'm waiting impatiently for the parcel carrier, a new #keyboard is arriving here today.
Nothing earth-shattering, just a keyboard from #Apple.
It's still like Christmas
Thank you all for your helpful advice!
We have decided to go for the M3 512GB model. It was a hard decision but we decided that the added years of official support was more important than the 1TB SSD which can be added with external options if need be.
We're replacing a refurb Air bought in 2017 that is still used daily, so we got the most out of it!
I was more than a little worried that there could be a 25% tariff on the purchase on or soon after April 2, which would have added $300+ to the price of the computer!
Done!
HowTF do I stop the damned Microsoft SharePoint.app from repeatedly adding itself to my Mac's Login Items??
How is this acceptable??
I want my feed to be more focused on topics like Anarchism, Syndicalism, Psychedelics, Buddhism, Linux, and LGBTQIA. To do this, I'm going to unfollow some people so my feed aligns better with my interests and values.
No hard feelings to anyone, except for fascist scums, I'll block them right away.

#Apple Needs a #SnowSequoia
Same year iPhone launched, Apple unveiled a massive upgrade to #Mac #OSX known as Leopard, sporting “300 New Features.” Two years later, it did something almost unheard of: it released #SnowLeopard, an upgrade all about how little it added and how much it took away.
Snow Leopard did what it was made to do. It was one of the most solid software releases ever put out. One of the best modern #OS releases, period.
Apple needs to make it snow again.

Violations of EU rules: Allegedly only minor penalties for Apple and Meta
The US companies allegedly have to change certain practices in the EU, but will probably escape a heavy fine. This should also appease Trump.
Most applications (e.g. Firefox) have a feature where if the application crashes, it’ll asks you “Would you like to send the crash report to $companyName?”
What I'd like to know is: Does this really help the project? Is someone actually reading these reports? acting upon them? Are they useful, or is it just there to make us feel better?
It’d be great if someone like @thelinuxEXP @MichaelTunnell could do interviews to get some answers
