Chris Alemany🇺🇦🇨🇦🇪🇸2/2 Then it was time to decide exactly how to create the manifold to direct the return water back into the pond or into the filter. I decided that I wanted the manifold to be well within the pond liner in case anything was leaking so I cut the black tube and extended the PVC to meet it into the main area of the pond.One valve goes to the bottom return sprayers. One valve goes to what will be sprayers along the long edge of the pond. And the last valve allows water to go into the filter. vga256in case anyone is curious about the internals of the pump. this is a magnetic rotor, which turns back and forth to move the water. i noticed that the rotor magnet is cracked on both sides. i’ve never seen that before. it may be incidental to the pump failing, but i’m sure it didn’t help. the metal ring at the top was flaking away with rust. i’m no pump expert, so i ordered an oem replacement. <a href="https://dialup.cafe/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#diy</a>

vga256today’s filthy shitty unhappy job: pulling a dead drain pump from my mom’s aging samsung front load washer. the worst part was draining very old undrained effluvia. the pump is accessed from the underside of the washer, via a small access port. just enough room to get your hand inside to loosen two bolts, cut your wrists on the metal frame, and unclamp several hoses. just guess how great 15 years of caked up solid black soap detergent smells. i’m pigpen now. i can’t complain. this saves my retiree mother $1000 and keeps a big hunk of metal out of the landfill. permacomputing at its grimiest. for anyone wondering: yes, you can absolutely do this kind of job yourself even with very limited mechanical knowhow. there are plenty of videos out there that can walk you through replacing a drain pump yourself.<a href="https://dialup.cafe/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#diy</a>
