Taken this day, 2023, heavenly light https://www.flickr.com/photos/woolamaloo_gazette/53069304483/
Summer light through the stained glass commemorating Chariots of Fire Olympian Eric Liddell, refracted onto the back wall of Morningside United Church.
A few moments earlier, or later, and I'd have missed this ephemeral, little moment of silent magic in an almost empty church...

When the Fringe starts in a couple of weeks, it will be even worse!

#ViewFromABus : heading home, late-night, soundtrack to Only Lovers Left Alive on my earphones, and the sound of tyres on wet roads.
#Edinburgh peeps! We have a fab #books & #music session coming to #Bruntsfield with bestselling Scots author, Irvine Welsh, in our groovy neighbours at Thorne Records, Fri 25th, to celebrate Men In Love (a sequel to Trainspotting) and a new album release.
Records! Books! Yay!
A splash of colour on an overcast, cloudy morning.

Bakingly hot, sunny day? Relax in the shade with a book browse
Grey, rainy, dreich day? Escape the rain with a nice book browse.
Basically all weather is good book browsing weather, is what we're saying here...

Today's morning bloom from my stroll to work, to brighten up your day.

So many birds wheeling above the Union Canal this evening, probably riding thermals as the day's sunshine reflects off the streets and roofs . Or perhaps they were just flocking around?
Pleasant post-work cold drink and sit with dear chum in the evening sun on #Bruntsfield Links to unwind after a hot, busy day, then evening stroll along the Union Canal.
