For some reason #DuckDuckGo doesn't work on desktop #Firefox 140.0.2 on Linux on my PC now.
The page loads fine, but when doing a search it just keeps on trying to load data from links.duckduckgo.com. Chromium works just fine.
#Firefox users with older computers (at least 7-10 years old), if you have a minute could you check something for me? Go into about:support and scroll down to the "Codec Support Information" table. I'd like to know if it shows hardware decoding as being supported for the HEVC codec (it shouldn't). Also let me know what OS are you on.

This is your friendly reminder that if you, like me, are driven crazy by tiny little invisible scrollbars that are nearly impossible to see and click, and you use #Firefox, there's an advanced configuration setting for that:
"widget.non-native-theme.scrollbar.size.override".
I personally have it set to "25", rather than the default which is "0".

Here’s a #Firefox trick I like a lot: rather than searching a tab visually then select it with a mouse click, I just press Ctrl-T and type a `%` sign followed by 3-4 characters of the tab title: the fuzzy-finder quickly narrows down the list to the tab I want.
It’s a banger with @zenbrowser’s compact mode. It would be even better if we had a special keyboard shortcut for that. Hint, hint. ^^
Same for me. I.e. I have two mobile phones, but I typically do not carry them around 
One is my #Mobian #PinePhone, which I don't use that much, because it eats battery for breakfast.
The other one is a dumb phone, which I only carry with me when really needed. But battery life is ≈ fortnight!
PS: None of them can run banking apps, of course. I do that on my #Debian PC in #Firefox.

@cavyherd I find I am more and more often selecting 'Reader View' in #Firefox to impose a simple, standard, clearly readable view on web pages.
I've been designing for the Web for more than thirty years now. I'm increasingly intolerant of sites which are too complex, too cluttered, and too hard to read.
This is not rocket science.
In case anyone is keeping score, #Google has AGAIN broken call audio in the #MessagesForWeb app, this time just in #Firefox (it still works fine in #Chrome). Once again, I can make calls, and the other side of the call can hear me, but I can't hear them. Confirmed broken on both Linux and Windows.
I've lost count of the number of times they've done this.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn Google has an explicit policy of not testing in Firefox.
