Jens Tode 🇪🇺I finally completed the building of the instrument to measure global solar radiation. The current data can be seen at my webside. This week I have vacation, so I hope to finish the software for plotting diagrams until end of the week. The horizontal mounted sensor for global radiation is a thermopile based pyranometer. Jens Tode 🇪🇺The first test at moderate temperatures of -13°C of the solar powered Li-Ion Capacitor charger (rev 2) from Jasper Sikken <a href="https://techhub.social/@jrsikken" class="u-url mention">@jrsikken</a> achieved good results. The last winters we had several days with less than -30°C but this winter has been much warmer so far. The next step is to build a LoRaWan sensor and test it year-round. We have 2 month without direct sun, embedded in 2 month mostly cloud covered. Jens Tode 🇪🇺Har fått nå et brukt pyranometer fra ebay for å måle global solinnstrålingen. Den bruker en termisk sensor og har et flat spektrum fra 285 til 3000 nm. Den omfatter altså hele sollys spektret. En solsensor med en fotodiode ville derimot være mye billigere, men har bare et begrenset spektrum. Disse blir vanligvis kalibrert til bruk i sentral Europa og har dermed stor avvik nord for polarsirkelen.
