I was fixing a couple of chains yesterday and found a few lengths that were too short for necklaces but too long to just scrap. What to do? Bracelets of course! Just these three, but if they go well I'll definitely make some more. The circle link style is online but the other two aren't, so just get in touch if you want to give one a home.

Anyhoo… for anyone who didn't see it (or if you need a reminder!), for the rest of this month and throughout August, we're donating 25% of all sales from the Paw Print collection to the Thin Blue Paw for the amazing work they do in supporting former working Police Dogs, such as our very own Ivan, in their retirement.

So for example, your purchase of this rather lovely and chunky sterling silver pendant would result in a donation of £18 from us to this very special cause.

We hope that not only will we raise a nice sum of money, but that we can also help raise awareness of this amazing organisation and secure its future to help even more dogs like me.

Shop in-store or online at www.lollamac.co.uk to help support my fundraising, while also buying yourself some fabulous paw print jewellery. 🐾🐾🐾

Big snuggles,
Ivan xx

Without the help of the Thin Blue Paw, many former working dogs like me would struggle to find new homes as the risk of health problems in later life would be too great.

So, with the help of my Mam, I've decided to do something special to celebrate my birthday this year, and give something back. From now until the end of August, my Mam will donate 25% from the sales of her Paw Print collection to the Thin Blue Paw. 🐾

Thankfully, a fantastic charity called the Thin Blue Paw exists to offer financial support with vet bills to people who own retired police dogs. My Mam and Dad have been very grateful for this, as I've also got problems with my shoulders, as well as having a previously broken tooth, and have proved to be quite an expensive addition to the family. 😳

They say they are very lucky to have me and wouldn't swap me for the world, but taking on a former working dog can be risky business as our previous injuries can result in expensive visits to the vet. (Special shout-out to my friend Jack at Orchard House Vets Hexham!)

Unfortunately police dog life can be tough, and at just 4 years old I suffered a broken leg while working, and my career came to an early end. After some time recovering I was adopted by my new Mam and Dad, and moved to Hexham where I now live a very happy life in retirement!

Hi, I'm Ivan, or RPD Ivan if you want to use my full name, and today is my 8th birthday!

If you've been following LollaMac for a while now, you'll probably know me as the LollaMac shop dog, but what you might not know about me is that before I became a jewellery workshop assistant, I used to earn my keep as a working Police Dog. And I was pretty good at it too, even getting myself in the paper a couple of times for my achievements!

Back in the shop today after a few days away. Had a lovely time (I'll do a little photo dump soon) but glad to be back at it and experimenting with something new today. If you're coming for a ring workshop tomorrow, hopefully there will be something new for you to play with!

Have a fab Friday, and of course BIG shout out to all those teachers out there who are counting down the last few hours till school's out (I remember that feeling well). Woohoo! 🎉

What a fabulous workshop last night with four newbie jewellery makers who each made their own incredible necklaces. I completely forgot to take photos of Anne and Julie's creations before they left (hope Anne is feeling better this morning 🤞), but there was no way I was going to let Jo and Kyla away with the same! How amazing did they do?

A couple of honeybee pendants on the bench this afternoon. I love the pewter-like finish on these after oxidising and rubbing back with steel wool, which goes perfectly with the old coin style of the pendant. A quick tumble next to brighten the high points and they will be restocking the shelves this afternoon. 🐝

If you've been wanting to book a jewellery making workshop for a while but keep missing out or can't find the right dates, then this is your call to action… My autumn/winter workshop programme is online now!

All the usual favourites, with the addition of a new necklace workshop in December, there's a bit of something for everyone. Based on past experience Saturday sessions tend to book out really quickly, so don't say you weren't warned!

Happy Monday folks! How's your day been? Mondays are my day off spent mine catching up on chores. Can't believe we're a week into July already! Last week went by in a flash, but the highlight was spending 20 mins relaxing in the evening sun with this gorgeous chap (while my other gorgeous chap was doing a run); I could have stayed there for hours 🧡

I know I say this all the time, but I think these might be my new favourites! If dangly hoops weren't summery enough, then I think these gorgeous honey coloured citrines definitely do the job! ☀️💛

I love the irregular shapes of the citrines and the variation in colours, though I've tried to pair them up as closely as possible. They are online now as part of my new Honeybee collection for summer.

I'm (very) slowly getting photos sorted to get the new collection online. (Why is this stuff such blummin' hard work? 🥴)

That said, spending time editing photos really does highlight some treats, so can we just take a moment to appreciate the incredible detail on this bee imprint? 🧡🐝

When I see this it makes the press/anneal/press/anneal cycle, sometimes needing up to 6 or 7 presses until I'm happy with it, completely worth the effort!

Introducing the HoneyBee Collection 🐝

Made with recycled brass and sterling silver, each impression has been individually pressed and hand finished. Complemented by honey coloured citrine stones, set on sterling silver. It's my ode to nature's superheroes, and perfect for summer. 🐝🌼🌻

Available in the Hexham shop now, and heading online soon. If you see anything you like in the meantime, drop me a DM. ☺️
