I've been thinking of getting a new laptop... But whatever for? I do absolutely everything on my phone, from managing my dwindling crypto assets to paying the bills to posting crazy stuff on social media.

Is there a way to not see boosts from people you follow on the feed? I keep getting fed content that are anxiety and rage inducing. I don't want to unfollow my follows as they're generally lovely people. Also, my filters don't seem to work on boosts?

Update: Thank you, everyone! Thanks to your tips I found the controls to hide the boosts. It was hidden in some tab and I had to scroll down. Thing is, I am pretty sure I did this in the past and somehow it got unchecked...

Tech ppl! My #Moshidon push notifications have stopped working (Android 13). I run #Megalodon on another phone, push Nots work fine. I have 2 #Mastodon accts in both apps.

2ndary issue: my other acct (on lor.sh) has a permanent mark as read icon in the app notifications panel which prevents the number of new Nots showing on the icon in the bottom menu. This is in both apps (different phones).

Both issues began to happen after I installed #ntfy to test #Fedilab Nots. I have uninstalled both.

#Tech issue with #Mastodon #notifications, on #Moshidon and #Megalodon.

My lor.sh acct notifications 'mark all as read' icon (double tick) gets stuck and means all notifications come in as read and don't show either the little number at the bottom or unread highlighted. It isn't any master setting afaics. It goes away if I log out everywhere, then log in again at first it's gone, then it comes back. It affects both apps. Push notifications work as normal.

I just realized that my Android client of choice for Mastodon, #Megalodon, had not been updated for a long while.

I googled to see what was up and the main dev said development is not active, and suggested moving over to #Moshidon.

It is very similar to Megalodon, so I feel right at home.

@Rainer On first install, it looks like Megalodon to me. Similar choices in design, at least, but will need some time with it to see what's different.

Most do exactly what #megalodon does and some weren't great to use. #Moshidon is exactly the same but with different colours. Keeping that.

#Fedilabs has an annoying colourful reddit-like vertical line set in front of replies, which messes with my brain; #trunks had the smallest font and that's not ideal; the official mastodon app logs out when you go back one step too many which is not ideal.

All the influencers and e-girls and streamers have joined Bluesky, and I absolutely despise it. Ugh. Bluesky, at this point, is nothing more than a new Twitter, which I never liked in the first place.

There is nothing like Mastodon and the greater Fediverse. There is nothing like home.
