Someone with mental illness is ten times more likely to receive violence than deliver it.
Not to say mental illness was not involved here, but people can be mentally ill and still make good choices.
Maybe we assume that someone who would commit murder like this must be mentally ill in order to even consider such a heinous act, but immediately reaching for this label paints everyone with mental illness as a potential killer - which is untrue.

Deleted some posts about the drama since it's largely localized to 1 very unwell person, but was curious if there's a term for this kind of #abuse
A person pretends to be your friend and even apologizes preemptively for disagreements etc. But this person keeps a list--years long, even--of grievances. The person blows up and starts dropping multiple "you did this" in a row, some of which are fake. Very hard to react to.
If you encounter this--cut them off.
