Something I can’t quite figure with the whole rise of #Fascism, #Trump regime, etc: The Great Goober is not immortal. Maybe his cult just doesn’t understand that. Or I suppose they just believe he’s following some divine (lol) inspiration & they must not question.

But even in light of the #SCOTUS immunity decision last year, Alito said, “We’re writing a rule for the ages.”

And so, sooner or later, through palace intrigue, old age, Crooks back from the dead, whatever, we’re going to have a President Vance. Unless that turns into a succession shitshow. But DJT will not be in that office forever. I still doubt he’ll live through this term. Or this year.

And so, what then? Does everyone (eg Alito) just think the cult transfers to Vance along with God’s will or what the bloody hell ever?

There’s still so much focus on Trump, but he can’t really be the biggest, longest-term problem. He’s just the wrecking ball that clears the way for it.
