This little fellow landed on my knee. I was able to coax it onto a blade of grass to take a photo. Apparently it's a hoverfly. I got a new watercolor notebook today, thanks to a recommendation from @Colarusso, and decided to inaugurate it with this attempted recreation. The wing almost looks like a stained glass window. That's so neat!
