@lispi314 @foone Yes, but unlike #Slack it won't make your Laptop sound like you're mining half a dozen #Shitcoins on it and completely saturate the #RAM even on a 14" MBP that has been maxed out in terms of RAM from the factory...

Ever wondered how to tackle a massive test migration without losing your mind?

Sergii Gorbachov, Staff Engineer at Slack, reveals how #Slack migrated an incredible 20,000 tests in just 10 months! He shares their unique approach, combining AI with traditional coding methods.

💡 The big lesson? #AI isn't a magic fix. Human oversight and conventional tools were essential to make it work.

"#Mozilla can press on with independent subprojects such as #Thunderbird owners #MZLA #Technologies #Corporation. The popular #Electron #framework is based on #Chromium. It's too late to change that, even if maybe #Servo may one day offer an #alternative. But if #Thunderbird sucked in #Libpurple, it wouldn't matter if #Slack and #Teams and so on used #Electron, as Thunderbird could talk to the servers directly."
"But pointing at what we'd like to see is attempting to #treat the #symptoms and not the #disease. Is there a way to #encourage Mozilla to be an #organized, #focused, #professional #business, with #eyes keenly set on a clearly defined #goal? Perhaps that's the wrong #question. Perhaps that shouldn't be the goal at all. For all that the #Linux business is #huge, no #company #develops the #kernel. They all #cooperate on it. The #Linux #Foundation #funds it, but doesn't really #guide it."
"One #observer has been #spectating and #commentating on Mozilla since before it was a foundation – one of its original co-#developers, #JamieZawinksi. He has been accurately #cataloging Mozilla's #failings for #years."

#Slack finally got back to me with a way to turn off these stupid growth hacking “Mobile Push Notifications.”

You know, the kind that are sent to my mobile devices, which I am on for 95-99% of my day.

Turns out all I have to do is sign into Slack with a browser. Like people do on classic computers.

Then there’s an option to disable these growth hacking Mobile Push Notifications.

Can’t disable “Mobile Push Notifications” from the app on my Mobile Device.

Because Slack is a serious company.

RANT! I have never used Slack. I just didnt need it. Yes Ive ran small tech teams to work on web or app dev, in HE contexts with talented capable students and real clients. Slack wasnt useful. Ive got 3 old workspaces never used. Was it easy to delete them? No. Did it accept fresh passwords? No. Did the email support actually read my email properly? No. Ive now sent a request to nuke everything asap, its my right (GDPR). Stop with this deactivate account bs.
