Morning #unicycle ride around Lauerzersee while it is still relatively cool. This is one of the most shallow lakes in Switzerland, nicer to unicycle around than to swim in.

@celesteh This is actually a great question.
In short, more like riding a safety bike.
Having said that, this can be a bad thing. Since they are basically "fixies" and this is easy to forgot if you normally ride bikes with a freewheel hub. Thus you can trick yourself into trying to coast if you stop paying attention, which would lock the wheel and possibly cause you to faceplant off the front.

had fun doing #CriticalMass by #unicycle again last night. it was a *little* faster this time, but still managed to keep up. at least until near the end where i fumbled my flashlight and then had an unplanned dismount. luckily i was able to run it out and the couple cyclists near me were able to avoid the flying uni.
Thankfully these are explicitly "all wheels" rides, so folks are a bit used to non bikes in the group and them occasionally becoming hazards 
. There are skaters and skateboarders, and the ride leader was on a tall bike!
When you cycle home in hot weather do you ever wish you could buy an ice cream and eat it on the way? Ideally in a cup, with a spoon because you are a civilised person who does not want melted ice cream running down your hands in the sweltering heat.

I'm at a second hand store and saw this. There is no logical reason whatsoever to buy this but… I'm tempted! 
#criticalMass by #unicycle. it was sufficiently party-pace that i opted to switch my pedal position from 100mm to 125mm halfway through, giving up some top speed for more control. When I need a few essentials from the local store(s), I often take use a #unicycle for transport. I always have one right outside my apartment's front door. It's much faster than walking and my hands are free for carrying the shopping. Perfect.
