Votes for 16 year olds: the scientific argument
Having recently been asked to discuss this on live radio in 'awkward' circumstances, here are some scientific arguments in favour of the lowering of the voting age
I don’t believe in the Australian myth that home ownership is a worthy goal.
I know that safe, secure, private and long term housing is a human right.
I will be voting in line with this knowledge.
Some people keep supporting 45, and you can understand why.
It's hard to admit when we might have made a mistake, especially a big one.
Imagine if you thought your choice might not be good for your family or country.
That would feel awful!
Some might find it easier to keep supporting the same person rather than wondering if they chose wrong.
We all make mistakes sometimes.
The important thing is that everyone gets to #vote for who they want, even if others disagree.
Pierre Poilievre is the only MP running who has had to enter into a compliance agreement with Elections Canada.

Think about that for a moment. He had to sign a document contracting him to follow our election laws. And that’s only for the times he has been caught.
Thank you Canada. I will again do my democratic duty and vote for the best candidate, which onviously is not the Maple MAGA party.

Seriously, how does someone who claims to be a patriot and claims to love their country and democracy, get off at the idea of denying people the right to vote?
Truthfully, MAGA sound like Nazis' day by day. Very cruel, while being very calculated, and truly sure of themselves, regardless of how morally and ethnically bankrupt they are.

My #Canadian friends, we must do all we can to keep Pierre Poilievre and his brand of hateful, divisive and unconstructive hubris out of government. He has such contempt and disrespect for Canadians and Canada that he hasn’t even obtained a security clearance. Does anyone actually believe that he *can*? He’s a national security and domestic affairs risk. He’s unfit.
