Butterflies
A song I wrote during a 21 days of VGM composition challenge. This one was dedicated to a dear friend and his family when they were going through a hard time.

Saturday evening's two-day old crescent moon in the twilight sky, some stars in the constellation Leo, and sometimes the distant mountain horizon.
Photography in twilight is a challenge because the sky colors, their saturation and brightness are changing by the minute. But it's also an opportunity because so many options are presented to you.
These four photos show choices in composition, and over time they show changes in lighting and color. They are not presented in chronological order.
Which one(s) do you prefer? Do they convey different moods?

I am still reflecting back on the amazing week with the other fellows at the Fallingwater Institute Creative Music Retreat led by Mike Block and Hanneke Cassel! In a little over 5 days we composed 2 large group tunes, each collaborated to compose a duo and composed multiple solo works. The week was an awesome combination of exploring Fallingwater through a musical perspective and working with so many great musicians. It pushed me to explore my creative process and the possibilities of limited time.

Working on a new long-form #composition and using the original #Mood #micro-looping #effects #pedal again. Love this thing. The grit and dirt that appears when clocked down adds such a lovely lo-fi vibe to #music. Chase Bliss significantly cleaned up the #sound engine when mk2 was released and for my ears it does not sound that nice, sorry.
