Jorge Castro<p>And you'd have to be silly to not follow SteamOS's lead in choosing <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/flathub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>flathub</span></a> as the app store. Børge<p>Could there be like a torrent-like way of downloading system updates and app updates where you download the updates from other people close to you, who has already downloaded them before? Tenacity Audio Editor<p>Recently, <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Audacity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Audacity</span></a> 3.7.5 was released. While we have now integrated applicable fixes into <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Tenacity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tenacity</span></a>, one notable thing absent is Windows ARM64 support. This is simply because our <a href="https://floss.social/tags/CI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CI</span></a> config is different than Audacity's, so our Windows ARM64 builds will come later.</p><p>However, if you're on Linux on ARM64/aarch64 and use <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Flatpak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Flatpak</span></a>, then you should be able to install Tenacity from <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Flathub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Flathub</span></a> as Flathub builds for both <a href="https://floss.social/tags/x86_64" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>x86_64</span></a> and aarch64 by default. Try it out and let us know what you think! 😄</p>
Grafcube<p><span>Considering recent events I'd like to believe that projects will start moving away from github (NixOS and Flatpak come to mind) but I have a hard time believing anything is gonna come of this realistically. Jorge Castro<p>Pretty soon we're PRing Bazaar to <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/flathub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>flathub</span></a> -- we're likely going to need some guidance as we go through the review process. </p><p>So I'd like to put some background out there to share our experiences shipping Bazaar in Bazzite, Bluefin, and (soon!) std::mem::justsoup<p>It's concerning to me that arguably *the* way to get Linux apps, Flathub, has all of its packaging data hosted on GitHub, with seemingly no plans to move away from it. With the direction GitHub is going, I am worried that Flathub will want to move and it'll be too late to do it cleanly.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Flatpak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Flatpak</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Flathub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Flathub</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a></p>

If you’re on Linux, there’s a good chance you use GNOME: it’s the default experience across Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora Workstation, Endless OS, and more. If you’re on another desktop, you still likely use components developed by GNOME contributors—or maybe you get apps from Flathub.
