French mime performer and filmmaker Jacques Tati plays the titular character Monsieur Hulot. He would go on to play Hulot in 5 films: “Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot” (1953), “Mon Oncle” (1958), “Playtime” (1967) & “Trafic” (1971).
