For our own sake, we should end the war quickly by troops in Ukraine, then reap the benefits of peace ourselves.

Shit on the #Greens all you like; excuses are plentiful & the #Dems will approve.

But reality is that if you take the immediate demands of 99% of #US #leftists, you get something closely resembling the #GPUS platform. The problem is that people just don't seem to be willing to commit to fighting for it.

So many #libs out here calling #leftists: #doomers, #nihilists & #pessimists cause we bothered to #learn about how the system works & why it can't be fixed, just casually ignoring that we don't believe change is hopeless - just change within the system.

It's very telling of their worldview.

Had a #Chinese friend of a friend, in town, and were able to have a reasonable conversation about politics, #humanrights, US-China, and more. In fact, we agreed on most things! Writing critical articles about the Chinese government didn't make me, to them, "anti-China"

Somehow, this type of nuance isn't often possible when discussing #China with (too many)#European or #American #leftists

Liberals want it both ways. They want to claim #leftists cost them the election while also claiming the country is not left leaning and thus they need to ignore leftist policies if they want to win elections.

You can't have it both ways. Either the left is a significant bloc and you need to integrate their views with your party platform, or you ignore them and can't blame them for your electoral losses.
