Bourgeois ideology, colonialism, and capitalism are tied together through a myth of European superiority. Amin shows how global history has been rewritten to justify imperialism, capitalism, and Western dominance — not just through violence but through powerful ideas.

"In early 1964, Jean Ziegler, a young Swiss politician, received a phone call from a man claiming to represent Ernesto Che Guevara, the Cuban revolutionary and minister of industry. Che would be in Geneva in March for a UN conference on trade policy, and some comrades had suggested Jean might be his chauffeur during his stay. Was Ziegler available for the gig?

Today, in his tenth decade of life, Ziegler is Switzerland's most notorious public intellectual. That's because over the course of writing about 30 books, serving for close to three decades in the Swiss parliament, and relentlessly crusading for left-wing causes in his free time, Ziegler has made a career of unsparing criticism of his home country, and its outsize influence on the rest of the world.”—Atossa Araxia Abrahamian

I don’t support Kim Jong Un, Putin, Trump, or any modern authoritarian leaders, whether they call themselves fascist, communist, or anything else.

History keeps showing us how authoritarianism destroys lives. Vanguardism is a scam. Russian anarchists were betrayed during the revolution. The Bolsheviks promised freedom but created a one-party dictatorship instead. They took control of the media, the economy, even people’s basic needs, and crushed dissent.

Anarchism proves we don’t need rulers. We can organize ourselves through grassroots, democratic unions where power flows from the bottom up. No bosses. No politicians. Just people working together as equals.

Solidarity forever.

As if the revolution was a paradise that can only be won thru "true proletarian suffering". It also conveniently frees western m-l of any radical action. The revolution will happen in that-other-part-of-the-world, so anything that m-l need to do is be right on the internet and feel smug about it.

Marx didn't make the evolution a Christian reward for suffering, but a consequence of the dynamics of capitalism, in particular the need of value to valorize itself.

There's a TREND, or better said a FAD, among some marxist-leninist to say that "revolution is impossible in the central core" because "the workers are too pampered" and they don't suffer enough to have class consciousness, and therefore it's in the periphery where revolutions can happen.

This is a steamy bag of BS. First off, it throws out the window all the analysis that Marx made on the development of capitalism. But secondly, it stinks of Christian guilt.

Capitalist media praises anarchist lone rebels while branding Marxism as authoritarian. Yet, splintered Anarchist factions end up being easily scattered by the centralized capitalist state power.

Meanwhile, Marxists unite under vanguard parties to build a unified vision to effectively challenge the system. Capital fears unity, and thus blesses anarchist disarray while crushing Marxism.

There is no hope for America. There is no saving America, only destroying it. We in America aren't suffering. We don't know what suffering is. The worst, most painful suffering you'd see in America is superceded by the average daily suffering of the working classes of colonized and semi-colonial countries. The labor aristocracies of imperial core countries have nothing to be liberated from other than their own existences.
