I am down that road too: low carb chocoholic (now moving on to cocoa nibs) with 6 hours of feed window 5 days a week. </p><p>I am 58 years old and insulin resistant. The above nutritional changes plus 40 min of strenght/cardio training every other day, have given me a new lease on life.</p><p>My own two bits: walnuts, pecanas, macadamias and avocado provide a lot of healty fats and Omega3/6 balance. When taken at the end of the feeding window, they make the 18 hr fast a piece of... err meatpie 🙄 !</p><p>I also make my own cannabinoid extracts. Lisa<p>The month of April marks 8 yrs that I changed how/what I eat. I cut out just about all sugar (I eat high percentage chocolate sometimes, so I get a little bit) or foods that break-down to sugar. Basically a low carb way of eating. It’s one of the easiest and best things I’ve ever done. Changing eating habits can be harder than incorporating exercise habits, but both are worth it. There are so many options available that weren’t even 8 yrs ago. My personality is one that doesn’t flip-flop. When something works, I stick with it. On vous vante les mérites des menus «&nbsp;légers&nbsp;», des repas «&nbsp;minceur&nbsp;», des recettes «&nbsp;light&nbsp;»… quitte à vous encourager à consommer moitié moins de calories que ce dont vous avez besoin pour que votre organisme fonctionne normalement, à base de repas à 500, 400 voire 300 kcal !</p><p>De prime abord, cela ne vous semble peut-être pas problématique ni dangereux, car après tout, pour perdre du poids, il suffit de manger moins, n’est-ce pas ? […] De plus, l’analyse bibliographique souligne que la pratique de ces régimes peut avoir pour conséquences des perturbations somatiques, d’ordre osseux et musculaires notamment, ainsi que des perturbations psychologiques (notamment troubles du comportement alimentaire), ou encore des modifications profondes du métabolisme énergétique et de la régulation physiologique du comportement alimentaire. Ces dernières modifications sont souvent à l’origine du cercle vicieux d’une reprise de poids, éventuellement plus sévère, à plus ou moins long terme</em>.&nbsp;»</p><p>Concernant la reprise de poids, on entend parfois dire que  95 % des personnes qui ont fait un régime amincissant ont repris le poids perdu après cinq ans. Difficile de trouver la source de cette affirmation, cependant il semble raisonnable d’affirmer au regard des étude menées à ce sujet que la plupart des gens reprennent le poids perdu au cours d’un régime dans les années qui suivent.*</p><p>En plus des perturbations métaboliques évoquées dans le rapport de l’ANSES cité précédemment, cela peut aussi s’expliquer en raison du fait que les régimes amincissants ne répondent pas vraiment aux causes du surpoids, qui sont variables d’une personne à l’autre (si globalement tout le monde s’accorde à dire que, dans l’immense majorité des cas, le surpoids résulte d’un déséquilibre entre les apports caloriques et les dépenses énergétiques, ce déséquilibre ne résulte pas nécessairement des mêmes comportements). De plus, les régimes amincissants sont perçus comme temporaires car particulièrement contraignants et restrictifs, donc complexes à tenir sur la durée (et il n’est de toute façon pas souhaitable de les conduire sur la durée, notamment en raison du risque de déséquilibre nutritionnel et de l’impact psychologique). De ce fait, l’arrêt du régime marque quasi-nécessairement la reprise de certaines habitudes et comportements favorables à la prise de poids.</p> <p>Bref, comme je l’évoquais déjà dans ce visuel de ma série «&nbsp;<a href="https://sohan-tricoire.fr/le-saviez-vous/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Le saviez-vous ?</a>«&nbsp;, à moins que vous soyez un enfant ou de très petite taille, des repas à 300, 400 ou 500 kcal ne permettent pas de couvrir vos besoins en calories et en nutriments. De plus, les régimes amincissants restrictifs exposent à un risque important de carences, mais aussi de troubles du comportement alimentaire, du métabolisme énergétique et de la régulation physiologique du comportement alimentaire.</p><p>Lorsque que l’on souhaite perdre du poids, mieux vaut donc s’orienter vers une prise en charge permettant de mettre en place progressivement des changements bénéfiques et durables, dans la ligne directrice des <a href="https://www.has-sante.fr/upload/docs/application/pdf/2023-02/guide._parcours_surpoids-obesite_de_ladulte.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">recommandations formulées par la Haute Autorité de Santé</a>. A savoir une prise en charge&nbsp;:</p><ul><li><strong>Individualisée</strong>, où les recommandations sont adaptées à votre mode de vie, à votre état de santé (physique et mentale), à vos contraintes (financières, familiales, professionnelles…), à votre histoire personnelle, à votre rapport à la nourriture et à votre corps, votre culture, votre éthique, vos habitudes…</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Axée sur le comportement alimentaire</strong>, à travers une reconnexion à vos sensations alimentaires (les signaux de faim, de rassasiement et de satiété) et au plaisir gustatif, pour une régulation différente (mais surtout plus fiable et sans effet secondaire) de celle induite par le contrôle des calories ou des grammes ingérés.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Axée sur une alimentation équilibrée</strong>, adaptée à vos besoins et à votre état de santé, sans aliment interdit.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Sans culpabilisation&nbsp;!</strong></li></ul><ul><li><strong>Sans objectifs déraisonnables</strong> : pour certaines personnes en situation d’obésité, l’objectif le plus raisonnable sera de stabiliser le poids et de mettre en place des habitudes destinées à minimiser les risques de complications (à travers l’activité physique et une alimentation plus équilibrée notamment). Pour d’autres personnes, il peut être raisonnable de viser une certaine perte de poids et de travailler à maintenir ensuite ce poids dans le temps. Tout cela est à déterminer selon le profil de chaque personne.</li></ul><p>Une telle approche ne permet pas d’obtenir une perte de poids importante et rapide. Elle occasionne même parfois une prise de poids au début de la prise en charge, car on apprend à lâcher des interdits, mais on ne sait pas encore comment bien contrôler ses apports sans les restrictions des habituels régimes amincissants (pesée des aliments, comptage des calories).
