Unsere #Instanz wächst und wächst. Kürzlich hatten wir unser zwei-jähriges Jubiläum. Wir haben aktuell 210 trötende #Rüssel hier auf unserer Instanz und das bedeutet, dass unsere Instanz mit eine der erfolgreichen Instanzen im #deutsch sprachigen Raum geworden ist.

Das bedeutet aber auch, dass der Instanz #Server einiges zu leisten hat. Er muss performant bleiben und er muss groß genug sein, um die ganzen #Tröts mit ihren #Medien wie #Bilder und #Videos zu speichern. Auch der #Backup-Server muss entsprechend dimensioniert sein. Das alles kostet viel #Geld im #Monat, das ich vollständig aus der eigenen #Tasche bezahle.

I can't estimate how big the #unplugTrump movement is. However, I'd bet it's too insignificant to even be noticed by #ebay #paypal #meta #amazon #microsoft or any other American company.

That's the fundamental dilemma: The masses behave like brainless zombies, following the most seductive scent. We, the minority, can rant and rebel as loudly as we like, but we'll only attract their aggression. Maybe we should give up and just enjoy our lives, which are far too short anyway. We'll never be able to change the system and should leave this to greater forces than we could ever muster. Mother #Nature will soon make change inevitable. The minority cannot (any longer) avoid from being dragged dwon with them.

I am 100% committed to finding a PayPal / Venmo or any payment processing alternative that does not fall under US Jurisdiction, but I do not believe there is one.

I ended today with them saying we are "manually approved" and it will be "verified" by the system in 24-48hrs.

I may burn something down if this is not resolved by Monday.
