@DO3BN and I made a joint activation of #SOTA DM/SX-029 Großer Zschirnstein (#WWFF DLFF-1068, #POTA DE-0875, DE-0785) today on #40m in #morsecode, #15m in #FT8 as well as #2m and #70cm in #FM. The pileups were nice - the weather after the activation not so much, but we were adequately clothed. #HamRadio #SummitsOnTheAir #ParksOnTheAir #Amateurfunk #qrp #elecraftkx2 #qmx #hiking #mountains #Saxony
Week 29 of the #HamChallenge: Make your own xOTA activation
I interpreted this as "get a type of place on the air which doesn't already have an established xOTA program."
This is PLOTA: Parking Lots on the Air. I semi-regularly try to activate the top of a parking deck at work over lunch. Looking forward to fall

Yesterday I've completed my new portable QRP CW radio kit. It includes the homebuilt #QMX transceiver, a 6m mast and a homebrew linked dipole for 40m, 30m and 20m. It's a lightweight setup that is more portable than my goto QRO pack.
So cute , the tiny CW pedal from K6ARK. STL Files can be found at printables. Fits nicely to the #qmx
Finally got round to getting acquainted with my #QRPLabs #qmx. For reasons known only to her, Pippi the #whippet has decided to get involved and is currently “helping”.

Played with both RXs (#QMX and #KX3) for the #hamchallenge today.

Getting a bit quicker at interleaving the #QMX #WSPR transmissions with listening on the KX3. :)

2024 ham radio review :
- 2019 QSOs worked, mainly as LC2W in CW contests
- now worked 103 DXCCs (89 LOTW confirmations) with simple balcony antennas
- #QMX built for 15m to 60m
- intermittent operations of a #WSPR beacon (waiting for the multi-band hopping firmware upgrade)
- got a 100 W transistor amp as gift, bumping up the station to low power :)
- forced to experiment with resonant matched antennas in lack of a 100 W tuner
