This forced me to appreciate how Arch keeps things minimal by default.</p><p>What used to be confusing on other systems (why can't I install this?) became crystal clear: if something doesn’t work, it’s probably because I haven’t set it up yet – not because the OS is broken.</p><p>Every package I installed and configured taught me something new. I would say: phones like the #PinePhone and #Librem5 pave the way to a #freedom and #privacy respecting mobile ecosystem.
I use the #Librem5 as my daily phone, and if you are willing to accept some inconvenience to gain freedom on your phone, I highly recommend this phone.
I'm in full control, I can call, SMS, use Signal desktop, listen to radio and podcasts, navigate, record my jogs, view a map, chat, browse, email, access contacts. And I have full #root access out of the box.
