I am bringing these flash drives with me on a trip to my parents, located about an hour north of Chicago. I will be helping install Fedora, and the others are Just in case.

It turns out that neither my father, nor his laptop are compatible with the Windows 11 software subscription model. 🤣🤣

If flying the night before plus hotel is cheaper than the night/sleeper-train, then that stinging feeling is the invisible hand of the oh-so-free market slapping you in the face again… 👋🚆✈️

Totally blaming airline subsidies here, as usual (Bergen-Oslo).

Thousands of applications from individuals with credible evidence of service with Afghan Special Forces, including the units known as the Triples, were rejected, leaving many of the former commandos at the mercy of the Taliban.

This came at the same time when a judge-led public inquiry in the #UK had begun investigating the #SAS for alleged #WarCrimes on operations on which the #Triples were present.

80 years ago today:

April 15: Bergen-Belsen concentration camp was liberated by the British 11th Armored Division on this date in 1945. The first two Allied soldiers to reach the camp were a British SAS officer, Lt. John Randall, & his jeep driver, who were on a reconnaissance mission & discovered the camp by chance. Some 60,000 ill and half starved prisoners were initially liberated though 13,994 of those subsequently died.
