Because of that we can't build anything but single family homes there with a large yard. Because of that, everything such as transit is more expensive. These policies creating a housing <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=shortage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#shortage</a>, so speculators began treating them as an investment instead of a commodity. Now people spend 1/3rd to 1/2 of all their income on rent, those who can't afford this basic necessity go <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=homeless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#homeless</a> . It didn't have to be this way but everything literally goes back to <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=racism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#racism</a> . America, making everything we do more expensive to literally just be crueler to others in a self-righteous way.
