Pino Carafa<p>I admire <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/Buddhists" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Buddhists</span></a> and <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/Stoics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Stoics</span></a> and people like that who found a way to accept and rise above their suffering.</p><p>Good on ya but I also know that there are types of suffering that can be addressed. My ankle is kaput, and I'll be damned if I'm just going to sit here and "accept" the pain or try and "rise above it".</p><p>I'm getting it fixed. Sadly a replacement can't be made to fit my crazy talipes type anatomy, but immobilisation will take away the pain.</p><p>Heigh ho, heigh ho.</p>
