What is actually happening is middle aged and seniors (many of whom are already driving automatic cars) are buying the EVs, and their vehicles are being sold and subsequently driven by younger folk (or they live in the family house and are sharing an automatic vehicle with their parents).
I have noticed in busier urban parts of #Suffolk, #Essex and #Reading about half the #cars I see on the street and in the yard outside my work are now automatics
At present it remains small #hatchbacks with dual clutch gearboxes which are becoming popular with the younger generation rather than EVs (everyone I know who drives an EV is north of 50)
It was a very bad idea for the lad to attempt to #drive after taking that much #ketamine (might have been better to sleep in the van, if he didn't have anywhere else to go!) but neither the Police nor Court seem to have investigated exactly *why* he had come to #Ipswich from #Lincoln in the first place (possibly using a work van without the full permission of his employers) - its a long way to travel!

This large "house" in #Stowmarket #Suffolk #England might look a bit unusual - round the corner you can see why - it is the local #TelephoneExchange ! (it is apparently going to be kept after analogue circuit switch off, as its used as a handover point for #fibre circuits)

-> While locals battle #HousingCrisis.
-> Time to rethink priorities?
There were some more birds around at the pool adjacent the Little Ouse river.
A Little Egret and some Black Tailed Godwit were all poking around for something to eat.
Another angle of the Banded Demoiselle from the previous post.
A Banded Demoiselle perched nicely for a photo.

A Red Admiral butterfly perched on top of a thistle.
A Common Blue Damselfly perched on a blade of grass.
A few weeks ago we were at RSPB Lakenheath. It was very hot so birds were a bit scarce but there were plenty of bugs about.
Starting off though is this juvenile Moorhen on a branch, I think it was trying to be like a Kingfisher!
