Hey #Fediverse! I'm looking for instances where people work on physical electronics devices, DIY, tinkering it doesn't matter.

I'm also looking for instances where people love talking about hand and power tools, carpentry, mechanics, those blue collar jobs.

In my experience very few stereotypical "blue collar" folks are in the Fediverse. I kinda understand why but that's a different conversation.

If you know of any please, tell me!

Brink and Cotton vintage clamp. Not sure how old, it belonged to my kids great grandfather. (Unfortunately, not able to snag all his woodworking gear when their WW2 era wood house was torn down, located in Honolulu). #tools #antique

The Better Screw: A Canadian Grip

In 1908, Canadian P. L. Robertson invented the square-socketed screw to prevent 'cam-out'—the slipping that plagues other screw types. This superior grip made it highly efficient. While the Phillips head became more common globally, the Robertson screw remains widely preferred in Canadian construction and manufacturing for its reliability. #Canada #Innovation #Invention #Tools
