These two love birds found our seed buffet today: Mourning Doves. They were preening each other and enjoying the evening light.
I hope they stay around. I enjoy their song and the whistling sound of their wings when they fly.

Went to check on 3 bald eagle nests today and 2 of them are occupied. Incubation period is 35 days. Should hatch at the end of the month.

Here's a photo of one of the nests taken with a telephoto lens this morning on Vancouver Island. Photo extremely cropped not to give any details about the location of the nest and protect this family of eagles from the crowds.
