@kidietz try with a live cd! Last weekend, at an installfest, we tried an upgrade on a machine and the video driver glitched, so we decided not to do it. We also found a potential change in behavior that at least we managed to change with config.

I saw the Ryzen-sticker and just had to check how far back you have to go to be unsupported by win11.
One of the most recent processors which will not be supported is the *AMD Ryzen™ 5 4680U Microsoft Surface® Edition* released in april _2021_.
That's only 4 years ago!
And yes, you can still buy microsoft branded laptops with these processors. Buy now to squeeze a few months out of your brand new computer
Haha I know a person with the same laptop but I upgraded it to Windows 11 for now. Works fine if you know the hacks, and needed because of education and businesses that lock you into Adobe software...
