Somewhere behind that flowering crabapple is a library. The sign says so.

The advert seemed a little too good to be true, but you were desperate.
The office is nice and welcoming, and the therapist seems professional. He's explained that he's been doing this for over 20 years and has helped numerous clients.
"So you can fix me in one session?"
"Yes. I have a perfect record. Nobody’s ever come back for a refund."
You settle down and begin the session. He tells you to imagine a comforting place for you – a beach, a pasture, your childhood home.
You find yourself in a moonlit field. An ominous hooded figure stands near a barren tree. "When the sun goes down..." it hisses at you.
You don't remember anything else, nor the hypnotherapist bringing you out of the trance.
"Alright, that's it, then. You're cured!"
"Really? That's it?"
"Oh, I've seen this many times before. The tree, the cloaked figure. All quite normal hallucinations."
"Wait, so others have seen this too?"
"Oh yes, but don't worry. Nobody has ever come back!"
"Have you seen them afterwards? Your clients?"
"Huh, now that you mention it, I don't think I have".

Yes, I forgot to prune that one and it is totally in the power line. Luckily that last leg of power line is insulated cable.
Discovered we had more cherry trees than we thought - there's another big one behind the barn.
The Japanese walnut is quite exuberant this spring. Here's hoping we can grab some of the walnuts before the squirrels do!

This season is coming to an end and so our little camp will do this Saturday. When we leave, this site is being shut down until March as fishing season is being superseded by late Autumn and Winter. Until then, the change of seasons (and weather) is still something that amazes you each morning when waking up despite of the current weather conditions.

Ombo is an island in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The 57.5-square-kilometre (22.2 sq mi) island is the largest island in the Ryfylke region and the second largest island in Rogaland county.
After the road was built around the island of Ombo, a distinctive rock formation was visible from the new road. The rock formation looks like a face, and was originally named Adam. Among the local residents, this is also called "Ombo-gubben" so we had to visit it while driving over the island.

This hawthorn tree is well ahead of the rest. In full bloom and has the most wonderful scent. An animal pungency? (Crataegus monogyna).

Tree trimmers down the street are packing up after finding a barn owl with babies in the dead tree.
Mommy owl glared at them as they removed everything above her nesting hole.
Last year, a local biologist moved an owl nest with babies into another tree, but the babies fell out.
At that point, they put lots of nesting material into a large trash can placed sideways on the ground. This was protected backyard, and the humans living there

A lone, lifeless tree standing on a hill silhouetted against a fading sky. Surrounded by the dark heavy clouds, it still stretches upwards. Towards a dream perhaps. Or a purpose. Something just out of sight, but just enough to hold on.
