Thor A. Hopland<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://hachyderm.io/@pagangod" class="u-url mention">@<span>pagangod</span></a></span> it&#39;s (say it with me now) <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NEWPUBLICMANAGEMENT" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NEWPUBLICMANAGEMENT</span></a> (( fanfare ))</p><p>Hi, and welcome to <br />🌹 the art of subversion 🌹. </p><p>Today&#39;s subject is NPM, <br />which even sounds like a disorder.</p><p>Without NPM, the private company cannot compete with a public body, because as long as it is autonomous and integrated with regulations and taxing, it can be super effective.</p><p>Now look what happens when we introduce NPM. Now the tax milkshake gets drunken all up, and that&#39;s wasteful. So long public bodies.</p><p>👏</p>
Thor A. Hopland<p>We as <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Norwegians" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Norwegians</span></a> have followed daddy <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/USA" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>USA</span></a> so much that our brains can&#39;t fathom a way forward that isn&#39;t &quot;copying our way to success&quot;.</p><p>No, we don&#39;t want a Norwegian <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/AWS" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AWS</span></a>, nor do we need one. We should be copying what we did with electrical companies decades ago and <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/socialize" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>socialize</span></a> <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/cloud" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>cloud</span></a> infrastructure through localized services that are interchangeable.</p><p>But i think that we&#39;re so used to <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NewPublicManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewPublicManagement</span></a>, <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/BusinessOfComplexity" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BusinessOfComplexity</span></a> and <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Middlemen" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Middlemen</span></a> business that we can&#39;t see beyond our nose.</p>
Thor A. Hopland<p>So my idea of combining all <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/laws" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>laws</span></a> into one megarepo has hit a wall - and said wall is <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/copyright" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>copyright</span></a>.</p><p>Here in <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Norway" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Norway</span></a> one foundation is responsible - and billable - for access to Norwegian law, and it&#39;s called <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/LovData" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LovData</span></a> (which stands for &quot;Law Data*). Funnily enough LovData is cited as the copyright holder, even in the printed version of the law.</p><p>Isn&#39;t that weird? That some <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NewPublicManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewPublicManagement</span></a> foundation is basically the centralized holder of national law.</p>
Thor A. Hopland<p>Suddenly some <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Norwegian" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Norwegian</span></a> <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/grunder" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>grunder</span></a> is standing at a <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/political" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>political</span></a> <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/party" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>party</span></a> victory ceremony doing the <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/romansalute" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>romansalute</span></a> - i.e the <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/nazi" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>nazi</span></a> salute.</p><p>But it&#39;s okay, because a 100 years of <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/liberalization" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>liberalization</span></a> and <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NewPublicManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewPublicManagement</span></a> has lead to the defunding of <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/PublicEducation" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PublicEducation</span></a> - making people politically and historically ignorant.</p><p>Some old codger says &quot;I remember my great-great grandad was tortured and killed by the Nazis for owning a <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/jazz" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>jazz</span></a> record&quot;, and a young guy says &quot;stop being a <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/libtard" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>libtard</span></a>, grandad.&quot;</p>
</p><p>Istedenfor ser vi <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NewPublicManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewPublicManagement</span></a> <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/GateKeeping" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>GateKeeping</span></a>.</p>
Thor A. Hopland<p>It&#39;s time <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Europeans" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Europeans</span></a> stopped buying <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/American" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>American</span></a> and <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Chinese" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Chinese</span></a> <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/EV" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EV</span></a> cars, or cars in general. <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Japanese" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Japanese</span></a> get a pass, because Japanese cars - but even they should be put up to scrutiny. Why?</p><p>Recently we&#39;ve seen Chinese EV&#39;s sending a crapton of data back to <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/China" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>China</span></a>. It would be unfair to blame only them, as a <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/SurveillanceState" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SurveillanceState</span></a> like China has many things in common with <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/SurveillanceCapitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SurveillanceCapitalism</span></a>. </p><p>The only difference is that one is <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NewPublicManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewPublicManagement</span></a>, with <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Tesla" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Tesla</span></a> seeking more handouts - obviously.</p>
Thor A. Hopland<p>I need you to understand this simple fact:</p><p>Without <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NewPublicManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewPublicManagement</span></a>, private can&#39;t compete with public. </p><p>Let me repeat that. </p><p>Without <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/NewPublicManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewPublicManagement</span></a>, private can&#39;t compete with public. </p><p>And that&#39;s the point. You&#39;re not allowed to have a publicly owned <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/HealthCare" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HealthCare</span></a> system, because the <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/oligarchs" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>oligarchs</span></a> want that money. </p><p>The <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/liberals" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>liberals</span></a> and <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/conservatives" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>conservatives</span></a> made this system to encumber the tax payer, so that their owners can put their straws into the tax bracket and drink it all up.</p>
Thor A. Hopland<p><a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Western" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Western</span></a> <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/liberals" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>liberals</span></a>, be they neo, classical, moderate, centrist, etc, know only austerity. Their job is to &quot;liberalise&quot;, i.e privatise everything, and rely on the &quot;free market&quot;.</p><p>Basically they want to destroy whatever infrastructure that is commonly held and have it replaced with their friends businesses. This is the crux of <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/newpublicmanagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>newpublicmanagement</span></a> which I see as a Trojan horse.</p><p>England, France, Germany, the US, everywhere liberals rule, there is is a race to the bottom, to poverty.</p>
