If there are not urgent, consequential discussions taking place in the Beehive today (ideally right now) about leaving the #fiveEyes alliance, the entire govt needs to resign out of sheer incompetence and let some grownups take over.

Hipkins needs to make a big statement to this effect. We can't be in an intel-sharing arrangement with a bunch of gossiping incels.

that really will be a big blow for the US to be dropped from #FiveEyes.

70+ years of intelligence sharing with allies is currently precarious at best and this administration isn't interested in hearing anything from anyone that might illuminate any ignorance.

This is the most outrageous breach of #nationalsecurity that I can ever remember. The #FiveEyes #intelligence group should investigate whether the US maintains sufficient security over their collective intelligence data.

And if senior #US cabinet officials “loathe” #Europe and want Europe to pay them for unilateral #military actions that benefit global trade, the US regime are #mafia. The US has created a protection racket.

"The "Five Eyes" have two concerns:

"1. That the Trump Administration has completely gutted the top level of our intelligence directorates uh has them terrified because they are seeing things leaked out into the public sphere that should be kept secret

"2. They're worried about Elon Musk's DOGE because you've got people who are in their 20s with no security clearance getting access to databases and then just putting it on social media because it's fun.

"Whether this is just rank gross in competence on the part of the Trump Administration or the Russians are directly manifesting these things from behind the scenes really doesn't matter - the Five Eyes are seeing Russian eyes and fingers in the hearts of their own National intelligence systems right now which means that the United States just isn't a competent or a trustworthy partner to them.

"I can't believe I have to say this but if you are one of my followers in the intelligence community and you are concerned that your senior leadership is either completely incompetent or has already been compromised your options are limited for what you can do. "
