While the ready room in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"⬆️ looks in many ways still as it did in season 1 ("Code of Honor"↙️, "Conspiracy"↘️), concerning the chairs, for example, one major differences are the overhead lights, which are separated into smaller sections and not one continuous light-band.

Picard's ready room desktop monitor in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" features his "Tagus III Archaeological Notes". In the HD version of the episode, all of the notes are fully legible. They feature the names of several people working on TNG back then and also Memory Alpha and the Vulcan Science Academy.

#StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"↘️ is the first late season 4 episode in which the old Livingston (a red lionfish (Pterois volitans)), known from earlier episodes ("TBoBWII"↖️, "Suddenly Human"↗️), has returned. In between, he was played by a radial firefish (Pterois radiata) ("Data's Day"⬅️, "Devil's Due"➡️, "First Contact"↙️.

It's a pity I didn't remember this line in #StarTrekTNG's "Hide and Q" earlier, as it fits yesterday's post perfectly. ;-) Bear in mind, though, that Q is browsing through Picard's "Globe Illustrated Shakespeare" here, while Patrick Stewart appears in the "Annotated Shakespeare".

In my 30 years as a #StarTrek researcher, this will forever be one of my coolest finds: This screenshot from #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" shows both 24th/25th century Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard ⬅️ and 20th/21st century thespian Sir Patrick Stewart ➡️ on screen at the same time. How that is possible? 🧵 1/6

Apart from #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"↖️ and "True Q"↙️, this double page is seen in two more episodes, "Silicon Avatar"↗️ and "Descent I"↘️. In both cases, Picard has an argument of sorts with a strong female character, Dr. Kila Marr and Admiral Alyssa Nechayev in t ready room while the book is on display. I was interviewed about this find some while ago: 5/6

In universe, this was absolutely Q's doing, of course! This exact double page not only appears in season 4's "Qpid" (pic 1+2) but also in his very next appearance on #StarTrekTNG, in season 6's "True Q" (pic 3+4, better shot in next post). Q had a little fun with the curious likeness between the actor and "son capitaine"...😅 4/6

I am 100% sure that this was done on purpose by the set decorator or somebody else behind the scenes, as the same double page from the book appears both in the ready room and Picard's quarters in "Qpid". At this point in #StarTrekTNG, volume II (not volume I) of "Annotated Shakespeare" is usually seen in Picard's quarters, so someone had fun with this, moving the prop from one set to another! 3/6

We watched #StarTrekTNG's "Where No One Has Gone Before" and I noticed for the first time that illusionary Yvette Gessard-Picard ⬅️ and the female "corridor crewmember" ➡️ seen here and in "Hide and Q" seem to have the same taste in colourful earrings. ;-)
