The Prime Minister said that #Moldova would not block gas supplies. A #Hungarian company will supply gas to #Transnistria, paid for by a #Dubai company.

In exchange for continued gas supply, #Tiraspol would have to free political prisoners, keep broadcasting a #Moldovan_TV channel, and dismantle the entrance checkpoints they put up in 2022.

#Russia benefits from having as many destabilization points as it can afford. #Transnistria is one of them, and #Russia will not give it up easily.

#Transnistria has refused the €60 million in financial aid from the #EU that were supposed to support it through the energy crisis - #Moldova PM #Dorin_Recean.

One of the conditions for #Transnistria receiving the money was for them to gradually increase gas prices for the population to bring them to market value. "#Tiraspol refused. #Russia does not allow them to receive #European aid, fearing to lose control over the region," #PM #Recean commented.
