I've used digital tuners for many years. Bought my first Korg ~1982, to help my Horn practice/playing, and used it throughout my college and Army career. After moving to PA in 2016, I also bought a little clip-on digital tuner specifically made for guitars.
This tool is especially useful setting things up (like getting a guitar into pitch after restringing it, or after not using one for years).

It's time for a long-overdue service for my viola - I've only recently started playing properly again, after a 25-year hiatus. First stop: the bow people, to discover if the nice violin bow I summarily rejected aged 18 in favour of a 'proper' viola bow is actually a viola bow after all.
