Anyone remember Frisky Dingo? How Killface's only goal was to build a giant rocket called "The Annihilatrix" to drive earth into the sun for no reason?

#Zuck describing plans to build Prometheous, an #AI cluster to consume as much land, power, & water as 5 mill people for no benefit whatsoever has real Annihilatrix vibes.

The official account of the #50501movement on Insta is saying they will have to use #Bluesky because #Zuck is doing so much so suppress their content.

I have heard this from a number of resistance accounts I follow. Let there be no doubt that the protests matter! Zuck and Musk and pro-fash corporate media would not try to suppress those efforts if they were irrelevant.

He does NOT want you to see this stuff, and that's why I share it.

But now I have to have a Bluesky account. Oh well.

”So there you have it: #Zuck bought #Insta to neutralize a competitor, and after he did, he lowered its quality and raised its prices, because he knew that he was operating without significant competitors thanks to his acquisition of that key competitor. Zuck's motivations – as explained by Zuck himself – were in direct contravention of #antitrust law, a thing he knew (because his execs explained it to him). That's a pretty good case.”

"Robber baron" is a pejorative term used to describe powerful and wealthy American industrialists and financiers during the late 19th century, an era often referred to as the Gilded Age. The term implies social criticism, suggesting these businessmen were unethical, unscrupulous, or ruthless in their practices.

They were accused of amassing their fortunes through exploitative methods, such as monopolizing large industries (often by forming trusts), restricting output to raise prices, exploiting workers through practices like wage slavery, engaging in unethical business dealings, squashing competition, and influencing government officials. The term combines the idea of criminal behavior ("robber") with illegitimate aristocracy ("baron").

Some prominent figures commonly labeled as robber barons include John D. #Rockefeller, Andrew #Carnegie, Cornelius #Vanderbilt, J.P. #Morgan, and Leland #Stanford, among others.
