Funny, but a bit of #trivia:

The entire belief that Spinach is a super-food that makes you strong was due to *the misplacement of a decimal point" when it was first analyzed in the late 1800's suggesting it contained 10x as much iron than it actually does. 🤔

Fun bit of #medicine #trivia on how trans health care and Neglected Diseases(tm) can intersect in curious ways:

there's a medicine, eflornithine, that suppresses growth of facial hair, and is thus useful for hirsute women, including some trans women and PCOS sufferers.

It happens to also kill a certain parasite, Trypanosoma brucei, which is carried by tsetse flies and causes the African sleeping sickness, if treatment begins early enough.
