How can this happen? Sometimes, accounts want to follow me that are completely empty, no posts, no communication (even not on their instance). But they have crazily many followers in a very short time. A new scam? Superfamous people under idiotic aliases? 22 K followers - most of them with 0 followers ! for a guy with an idiotic alias and a fake profile photo.

Why do I attract the most frail of attention seeking egos? I think that I'll just block people indiscriminately on from now on, without warning. I'm not here to be a buffer for your vanity or your smugness.

In fact, go out and meet people. Try to do it with them. What are the results? They won't invite you to parties - and it shows.

You have no place in my life anymore either, as I'm cleaning up my digital environment. This means , & get the cutoff.

agreed. in this regard, #socialMedia can be a force multiplier for good as well as what it is now: a force multiplier for #bigotry and #plutocracy

but that makes our communities a target

so we need something like #mastodon where we can squash the #trolls without the "fReEzEpEaCh!" #bigoted morons and #centralized #corporate social media indifference or tacit support for #ignorance and #hate

we need the #fediverse to grow

Thomas Dambo’s Trolls are in town! The “TROLLS: Save the Humans” exhibition at the Memphis Botanic Gardens features six of these larger-than-life sculptures displayed throughout the grounds. They are made entirely of recycled materials.
