I can see it as a mental illness, like an infectious disease. From my viewpoint, racism is a meme (in the original sense of the word*) that infects people vulnerable to it, i.e. they have no (mental) immunity to prevent it. Some people are more vulnerable to it than others, depending on their existing mental health. And it is something that can be cured, many people have been. It may not be easy, especially with those with severe cases, but it can be done. What is important is to treat it like any other disease, including trying to minimize its spread and make sure that people are innoculated against it as early as possible.

* I.e. not a funny captioned picture on the Internet.

#Racism is (psychologically) cultivated paranoia and narcissism - by way of politics.

I.e "they're inferior" is #narcissism, or "they're coming to take our jobs" is #paranoia.

Then it's false pride, historical revisionism and delusions of grandeur, that leads to NPD.

The "us vs them" is literally the pack instinct being constantly triggered and trained to forgo rational thinking, leading to PPD.

Stir and blend, blend and stir, AND BAM: #racism.

@murdoc @ricardoharvin the reason it should be called a mental disease is because it is being spread. You don't necessarily need to be a racist to spread it, but a psychopath or a sociopath...

To psychologically manipulate someone to become mentally diseased should be directly illegal and deserves jail time, as well as reperations - IMHO.

But politicians should then be deemed mentally diseased if they try to spread a mental disease to sort of preemptively nip their power in the bud.

No, you don't have to be infected with racism to spread it, but I would then argue that such a person was infected with something else. IMO jail doesn't cure anything, and in fact often makes things worse just like any physical disease.

@murdoc @ricardoharvin jail in the US makes things worse. Reformist prison systems like in Norway gives people time and a place to heal.

I guess this is the portion where we go to politics and say yes, #CRT is real (a socio-economic and political theory regarding the US "justice" system), in that interstate policing was meant to catch freemen and send them to chain gangs in privatized prisons to re-inslave them.

That doesn't mean policing and prisons are always bad, except for in the US.

True, there are different ways of doing it. I was speaking in simplistic terms, that of just locking them up and hoping for the best. Or not caring and it's more about punishment than reform. Or as you say, profit, the worst of the lot.

If you want repeat costumers, just warp their minds so much that they'll have a higher chance of coming back.

This is also apart of CRT, because you of course don't want the darkies to heal and return to society. Noooo! We want you to be broken, so you'll come back and help us fullfil our fiduciary responsibility- I mean... repay your debt to society. Yes, that's it...
