6:00AM: 55F, a bit o' sun breaking through.

Chance of rain/rain likely through the weekend.

Most of the interior SE is under a dense fog advisory.

In 2020 I had to get a hip replaced. Woke up on the day we were to fly to ANC to dense fog. My flight was cancelled, but I needed to get up there for a Covid test before surgery. We ended up flying to Seattle, then back to ANC that night. Since I didn't leave the airport it was OK for Covid purposes.

Wild times.

6:00AM: 65F (!), light rain.

I had to cancel my surgery, plane tickets, VRBO, rental car, time off...

...because my doctor's office didn't get clinical notes to AETNA in time for their "7-10 day review period." Insurance will most likely OK the shoulder replacement, but not by tomorrow, when it was scheduled.

The date was exquisitely timed between fishing and other trips. I'm now looking at mid-October.

To cheer me up, Mother Nature sent rain!

6:30AM: 57F, sun breaking through.

It's supposed to be mostly cloudy today, with a greater chance of rain in the PM.

Definitely getting out for a walk today. I have a shoulder replacement next Wed and won't be walking much for a few weeks. If I should fall....OUCH!

6:00AM: 56F, overcast.

You've got rain, folks, right here in River City, rain with a capital R and that rhymes with....ummmm....

Well, it sounded like a good idea when I started that quote. What can I say? 🤷‍♀️ Plus, I realized some folks wouldn't even recognize the reference. Ahem. Moving on.

It rained off and on most of the night. We have .13" as of this morning. The chance of more continues through the weekend.

6:00AM: 58F, overcast.

No matter what's going on in the world, the weather just keeps weathering.

There's comfort in that.

Highs in the low 60's for the next 4 or 5 days and, you guessed it, chance of showers/rain.

Let's all just keep on weathering, folks. Weather the storms. There are better days ahead.

51°F and overcast with low chonky clouds scudding eastward across Keystone Ridge at 9:30am. Rain everyday for the last five for a total of 0.4” precipitation. One can feel the mycelium network stirring to pop out amanita and boletus caps any second now. #myalaskawx #FungusWatch
