Since memories are retained based on importance and emotional charge, sometimes I intentionally don't forgive myself a mistake I've made.

I do this to retain the memory of it longer – the steps that led to it, my misguided actions, and the lesson thereafter.

Instead of granting myself the relief of forgiveness, I find solace in the idea that I will do better next time as I won't forget.

I am so thouroughly radicalized by all I've learned and seen, especially these past few months. I've come to the conclusion that resisting and combatting fascism is part of every facet of a healthy and purposeful lifestyle.
